Pumba Festival

Hi Guys, Yesterday I attended the Pumba Festival and registered to enter the photo contest. I shot over a thousand photos and now I have to sort through them to find my six best to enter into the contest. Here are a few, just to give you an idea of what the festival was like.

Korean Pumbaa (품바) Festival

Hi Guys, Tomorrow I'm taking the early morning train up to Eumseong (음성) for their annual pumbaa festival.
The festival looks like a mixture of the German October Fest and the Mardi Gras celebration. People dress up in costumes, paint their faces and dance in the streets. There is a photo contest sponsored by the event also, photos to follow. In the meantime, here are a few shots from our trip to China.

I'll post some photos early next week.

Namwon Trip

Hi Guys...I just got back from Namwon, a town in the southeastern part of Korea, near Jirisan Mountain.
We went there to photograph the royal azaleas up on Brabong Peak, but we spent to much time at other beautiful sites in the area and ended up not having enough time to hike up the mountain and get back down in time to catch our train back to Daejeon.

One of the places I really liked was the Gwanghalluwon Garden. Here are a few photos from our trip..

Update

Hi Guys, Thought I'd post a few photos and update what I've been doing. A few weeks ago I went to a cherry blossom festival and entered their photo contest.

Last weekend I went out with the photo club to shoot in the local (Daejeon) area. This coming weekend I'm taking a train trip down to the Jirisan area to photograph a flower festival.

I'll try to post on a more regular basis over the next few months. There will be a festival almost every weekend for the rest of the year so there will be plenty of things to blog about
